Oooooh I’ve been bubbling with excitement to share with you some new commissions I’ve completed (some I haven’t shared publicly yet) plus I have a giveaway for you to enter!! 🎁

Since it’s been a little over week from the last time I sent a newsletter I have quite a lot of fun stuff to share so I hope you don’t mind it being a lil longer 🤭

First I wanna show you this Bible I finished 👇

The lady who commissioned me to do this Bible follows me on TikTok and reached out to me through my Etsy Shop. She asked me to paint a Bible with daisies on the front with a X on top of them and the Bible John 8:12 on the back. I was curious to know what the X represents to her so I asked her and she said the X is to remind herself that she woke up another day and she is thankful for the grace and blessing that God gives us.

I thought that was quite meaningful! It reminds me of how some people make a X mark each day on their paper calendars as they cross off the days that have past (the days that they have been blessed to live with)

I didn’t just paint daisies, because the lady later shared with me that she wanted this Bible made in remembrance of her mom. She told me her mom used to have a garden with lilacs, honey suckle, and daisies in it, so I used that as inspiration to paint a variety of flowers on her Bible to remind her of her mom’s garden.

When I sent her photos of her Bible finished she said “OH my gosh I love it” and that made me so happy ☺️

Okey dokey onto the next commission 👇

One of my friends from Kauai commissioned me to paint this genuine leather, pocket size journal as a birthday gift for one of her friends 💙

She told me she wanted the Bible verse 1 Peter 5:7, a cross, flowers, and incorporate the colors navy blue, pink, & white and this became my artistic interpretation of those prompts ✝️ 🌺

This right here is my absolute favorite color palette to paint in! 🔥 🧊❤️‍🔥 🌊 I freaking love how the fiery passionate reds contrast with the cooling icey blues making it such an epic harmony of colors!

The lady, who has been a long time follower, collector, and supporter of my art, commissioned me to paint this Bible and told me she wanted me to paint a fire and ice koi fish like my original painting “Harmony”

This was such a fun commission to do! I have been secretly waiting for someone to ask me to paint a Bible in my fire and ice style and I’m grateful I was finally blessed with the opportunity to do it!

Here is the feedback she gave me after I sent her photos of her Bible.

“I LOVE IT!!! YOU ARE SO TALENTED. THE WAY YOU LIVE YOUR LIFE AND YOUR ART ARE TRULY INSPIRING. CAN’T WAIT TO SEE IT IN LERSON. THANK YOU!”

It will never get old to receive positive feedback from customers and collectors ⭐️

Before I show you another completed commission, I want to show you some new art I’ve recently collected from other artists.

Here is a print I collected from Allison Allianic. I’ve been following her on Instagram for quite a while and I saw a reel of her creating this painting and the meaning she shared behind it really resonated with me so I immediately sent her a DM asking if she would be making prints of it and she said she would. When she added them to her Etsy Shop she let me know and I instantly collected one and I love having it hanging in my art studio.

Here are 2 new original artworks I collected from my friend Katie Smith’s “Shared Planet” collection 🦦 🦧 aren’t they so cute?! I love them!

Oooh I remembered I have a dance update for ya too!

Along with being booked with 13 Bible orders, and 5 other painting commissions, I am being sought out to choreograph dance solos again for students this coming summer, so I’ve been trying to brainstorm ideas, play around with different movements, learn new skills myself to teach the students, and find songs to choreograph too.

One of my students who I choreographed a solo for, competed her solo at a dance competition this past weekend and received first overall in her category 🥇

I had two other soloist students compete at the same comp, but in different categories and I’m very happy with how well both of them performed.

My 6 soloist students have one more regional competition next weekend and that’s it for the regionals for this dance season.

It’s definitely been rewarding getting to work with my students over the past 10 months and see their artistry and skills continually blossom.

Aaaaayyy now it’s time to show you this Bible I’ve been excited about!

My friend Megan from Kauai asked me to paint a Bible for her sister to give as a birthday present.

She asked me to paint a Hawai’i inspired Bible for her sister. Megan told me her sister loves horses and has a horse. Her sister doesn’t live in Kauai, but she does love it there. Megan asked me if I could paint a horse to look like the first horse her sister had as her sister had a really special bond with him. Megan also requested me to paint in vibrant colors and write 1 Peter 5:7 on the backside.

After taking all of these things into consideration I got began brainstorming what I wanted the final result to look like and I really wanted to paint a rainbow on it too because whenever I go to Kauai I always see so many rainbows 🌈

The tricky part is… I’ve never painted a rainbow… I mean I probably painted rainbows when I was a kid, but I’ve tried to paint a rainbow in fine art.

They can be tricky because if you get the curve off or if the colors are too harsh then it’s just gonna look cheesy and not blend in well with everything else.

Ok Bri, enough chatting let’s just get to the Bible 😆

Sometimes I kinda wish I could jump into the scenes I paint 🤭

Like wouldn’t it be epic to be riding bareback on a magnificent horse on the beach and witness a vibrant sunrise like this?!

There have been many many long hours put into this one like staying up till midnight the past two days painting, but it was so worth it me with how the results turned out 💖
