🎨 A Bible. 400 Paintings. A Reveal Incoming…

I finished painting this Bible on Friday and I posted about it on Saturday and my goodness the love and sweet comments came pouring in.

I had no idea so many people would fall in love with this one.

I apologize for not sharing this Bible with y’all first before posting about it.

I just returned back to social media after taking a 25 day break from it and I’ve been trying to get back in flow with filming, editing, and posting…social media can kinda become another full-time job on my plate 😅 but actually everything is going well. I’m excited to continue sharing this journey 🫶🏽

And I have some things to share with y’all that you will get to see first before I post it on socials (more about that coming later in this newsletter)

I had sooo much fun painting this one! The lady who commissioned me to paint this gave me artistic freedom and simply asked me to be inspired by the worship songs she sent me and one of those was “His Mercy is More” by Matt Boswell & Matt Papa. I listened to the song multiple times and on one particular day I went for a walk listening to the song and it struck me in the heart when the lyrics “our sins are many, His mercy is more” were sung and I started crying. God’s love and mercy is just sooo good…my words can’t even express it to the fullest. I’ve fallen short many times, faced temptations and given into temptations, I’ve sinned and yet He still loves me… He still loves you! He loves us so much He sent His one and only Son to be sacrificed for our sins so we can have a relationship with Him and spend eternity with Him 🙌🏽 😭

As I was continuing to listen to the song the Bible verse “His mercies are new every morning” which comes from Lamentations 3:22-23 came to my mind and shortly after that a beautiful ocean sunrise scenery came to my mind as well. It was lovely and I knew I had to share all of this with the lady to see if she’d like this idea to be painted on her new genuine leather ESV Bible and she loved it!! So in the studio I went, played worship music, and began painting until it was finished ✨ It was such a sweet time!

I love the final results and so does the lady 🩷 🌊 I can hardly wait for it to arrive in her hands 🥰

Alrighty so I’ve been spilling lil cookie crumbs that Katie and I will be getting together again and that we have something big planned so here is some more cookie crumbs for you….

Katie and I are working on painting 400 mini canvases (200 each) to create not only a big collection but another large artwork when we meet up in approx two month (location is secret for now) to piece all of these mini paintings together.

I’m going to give you a first look of the four paintings I’ve completed so far for our collection. That means only 196 more to go for me to paint 🤪 🎨

I did share about the turtle and dolphin on socials and people are already wanting to call dibs on the art 😆 which I freakin love y’all’s enthusiasm and excitement already and it’s just the beginning… well technically not “just the beginning” cause Katie and I have been planning this project for over a year now, but I guess you can say it’s the beginning since the painting process has officially started 🥳

We are stoked for this collaboration and we both can hardly wait to share more cookie crumbs with you about this collection over the next two months!
